We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your Kanjijo account.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion, the following will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Your email address, display name, and profile data.
  • Learning Data: All SRS progress, review history, study statistics, and mastery levels stored in the cloud.
  • Subscription: Your Premium subscription will be canceled (note: you must also cancel through the App Store to stop billing).
  • Cloud Backups: All cloud-synced data will be permanently deleted.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • Local data on your device will not be automatically deleted. You can uninstall the App to remove local data.
  • If you have an active subscription, please cancel it in the App Store first to avoid being charged after deletion.
  • Account deletion may take up to 30 days to complete.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: From the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Kanjijo app on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the top right).
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account".
  4. Tap "Delete Account".
  5. Confirm your identity by entering your password or re-authenticating.
  6. Tap "Confirm Delete" to permanently delete your account.

Method 2: Via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your Kanjijo account.
  3. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Cancel Your Subscription

Deleting your Kanjijo account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. To avoid future charges:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top).
  3. Tap "Subscriptions".
  4. Find and tap "Kanjijo".
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription".
