Kanjijo teaches all 2,480 kanji up to N1 with stroke order, on’yomi and kun’yomi, the radicals they are built from and an exclusive memory story for each one, then brings every kanji back just before you would forget it.
Each kanji card shows the meaning, the on’yomi and kun’yomi, and an animated stroke order you can follow and then write yourself. Learning them together is what lets you read a word, not just recognise a shape.
Kanji are made of smaller pieces. Kanjijo names 885 of them with radical stories, then gives every kanji, and every word that uses it, an exclusive mnemonic built from those pieces. The story gives your memory a hook on day one; the reviews make it automatic.
A kanji on its own is only half the job. Every kanji links to the words that use it, with audio and example sentences, so 生 arrives with 先生, 学生 and 生まれる instead of as an isolated symbol.
The seven-stage SRS shows a kanji again just before you would forget it. Kanji you miss come back sooner; kanji you know drift further apart, so a few minutes a day keeps thousands of them alive.
Point the OCR scanner at a sign, a menu or a box and Kanjijo reads the kanji for you. Home and lock screen widgets keep one kanji in view every time you pick up your phone.
