How do I get started?
Download Kanjijo from the App Store, create an account, and choose your starting JLPT level. The app will guide you through your first lesson with interactive flashcards.
What is included in the free plan?
Free users get full access to all learning content — Kanji, Vocabulary, and Kana across all JLPT levels. You can unlock one new lesson per day. Unlimited SRS reviews, proficiency tests, home screen widgets, study statistics, and cloud backup are all included. When unlocking a new lesson, you can choose to watch a short rewarded ad — it’s entirely your choice, and no ads will ever interrupt your study flow.
What does Premium include?
Premium gives you unlimited lesson unlocks per day with zero ads — no rewarded ad prompts, no interruptions, just pure learning. Subscribe monthly or yearly through the App Store.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your iPhone’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions and select Kanjijo to cancel. You’ll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
Can I restore my purchases on a new device?
Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID on your new device and tap “Restore Purchases” in the app’s store screen. Your subscription will be restored automatically.
How does the SRS (Spaced Repetition) system work?
SRS schedules reviews at scientifically optimized intervals. Items you struggle with appear more frequently, while mastered items are shown less often. Each correct answer advances the item through stages: Seed → Sprout → Bloom → Flourish → Burned (mastered).
Is my data synced across devices?
Yes. Your learning progress is encrypted and synced to the cloud. Sign in with the same account on any device to continue where you left off.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account through the app settings, or visit our account deletion page. All personal data and learning progress will be permanently removed within 30 days.
The app is not working properly. What should I do?
Try these steps:
- Make sure you’re running the latest version of Kanjijo from the App Store.
- Restart the app completely (swipe up to close, then reopen).
- Check your internet connection for sync-related issues.
