Kanjijo follows the JLPT level by level: the kanji, words and grammar each level expects, the reading and listening sections as the test sets them, and 35 full mock tests to finish. Free to start on iPhone.
The JLPT has three sections: vocabulary and kanji, grammar and reading, and listening. Kanjijo builds each one into the path rather than leaving them for the last month. Every level has its own kanji, words and grammar, taught in 324 lessons that unlock in order, and every lesson ends with a test that makes you recall the answer instead of recognising it.
Recognising words in a list is not the same as reading a passage against the clock. The JLPT reading track has 95 graded lessons from N5 to N1 written in the formats the exam uses, and the listening track has 95 lessons with native audio. Eighty dictation lessons cut from real native videos train you to catch every word at natural speed.
When a level is almost done, sit a full mock test with the timing of the real exam. Each level has seven, so you can test, review the mistakes by section and test again before the real day. If you are not sure where to start, the free JLPT level test places you in five minutes.
Every kanji, word and grammar point you learn goes into a seven-stage spaced-repetition system that grows from Seed to Ancient Tree. Items you find hard come back sooner, items you know wait longer, so the daily review stays short even with thousands of items in it.
Yes. Kanjijo covers all five levels in one path, from the first N5 kanji to N1 grammar, with 35 full mock tests at the end of the levels.
35 full JLPT-style mock tests, seven for each level from N5 to N1.
For vocabulary, kanji, grammar and reading practice, Kanjijo covers the syllabus a textbook would, and it adds review timing a book cannot. Many learners still like a textbook for long grammar explanations; the two work well together.
It depends on your daily time. At one new lesson per track a day and a short review, most learners move through N5 in a few months; higher levels have more material and take longer. The SRS keeps earlier levels fresh while you move on.
